Once your candle has burned down leaving a small amount of wax and the wick behind its time to remove the old wax/wick so it's ready to refill.
 
Grab a spoon and gently lift the remaining wax and metal wick base out of the candle.. popping the vessel in the freezer for half an hour may help to harden the wax making it easier to break up. (don't throw
